Yoga teachers get Kayayogi certificate

DIBRUGARH, March 18 - About ten yoga teachers� diploma holders were given away certificate of �Kayayogi� in a brief programme held at Lekhika Samaroh auditorium at Chowkidingee here.

The one-year yoga curriculum is being run by Swami Shivananda Yogajyoti Seva Kendra, promoted by Indian Yoga Culture and Yoga Therapy Centre, Guwahati and affiliated to Srimanta Sankardeva University of Health Sciences, Assam.

In the formal ceremony Minu Borgohain, principal of the organisation presided over the session while other guest present were Rituparna Baruah, MLA of Lahowal constituency, Yogacharyya Shubhashish, founder president of Yoga Culture and Yoga Therapy Centre, Guwahati, Yogananda Senschuwa, vice chairman of Dibrugarh Municipal Board, Sonu Roy, social worker and Bina Devi, founder of Swami Shivananda Yogajyoti Seva Kendra.

The diploma holder candidates are now eligible to apply for yoga teachers post in any education and other institutions. The programme also included inaugural song, yoga demonstration, felicitation of yoga teachers, Guru Vandana, oath reading by pass out students and discussion on prospective of the course. The programme concluded with vote of thanks by Rekha Sharma Baruah, secretary of Swami Shivananda Yogajyoti Seva Kendra, Dibrugarh, a release stated.
