By STAFF Reporter

GUWAHATI, June 8 - Specialised yoga modules for specific target groups have been developed by Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, which are now accessible in the city.

For students the yoga module is Tejas and Pariksha De Haste Haste, while for teachers it is Samarth and it is Swanand for corporates, a press release from Vivekananda Kendra Institute of Culture (VKIC), Guwahati stated. The Tejas yoga module is for students and it develops concentration and all-round development, and also provides insights on life to the students to become responsible citizens. It includes practice of yogasana, pranayam, tratak, games and group discussions.

In response to examination-induced anxiety and stress, Pariksha De Haste Haste yoga module helps students get refreshed and reinvigorated within a short time. The process involves yogasana, discourses, group discussions, etc. This has been widely adopted by schools and colleges in different parts of the country.

Samarth is the yoga module for teachers. How to put in practice the age-old philosophy in todays context in a scientific way, stress management, enhancing understanding of young minds, how best to motivate students, are some of the aims of this module.

The module for corporates Swanand imparts skills of participatory and serving management techniques. A holistic approach towards explaining reasons behind pressure and stress, and solutions offered by the Patanjali Yoga Sutra, revealing the vision of oneness etc., have made it very popular among employees of many organisations.

Those interested in organising or participating in any of the yoga courses may contact Vivekananda Kendra, Panbazar, or Vivekananda Kendra Institute of Culture at Uzanbazar riverside. Morning classes are also being held in both the venues.
