Yoga keeps our body, mind fit, says Acharya

DIMAPUR, June 21 - Nagaland Governor PB Acharya said yoga has nothing to do with religion and it is a science and an exercise to keep our body fit.

Interacting with media-persons during the 2nd International Day of Yoga observation at the Indira Gandhi Stadium here today, the Governor said yoga is an invaluable gift of ancient Indian tradition which helps in balancing the mind and the body through action, besides helping in changing our lifestyle and creating consciousness.

MPs Jugal Kishore Sharma, Yashwant Singh and Ram Narain Dudi along with Ministers, Parliamentary Secretaries and a host of top government officials of Nagaland besides senior citizens and students from different schools and colleges took part in the programme.

The day was also observed in other parts of the State.
