GUWAHATI, Oct 17 - In view of the �Year of the Disabled Soldiers�, Red Horns Division of the Indian Army organised a Veterans Rally at Jagiroad recently.
�Two disabled soldiers, 308 veterans along with five Veer Naris and seven dependents of Morigaon, Nagaon, Hojai, East and West Karbi Anglong were benefitted by the event,� a Defence spokesman said here. Active participation by Zila Sainik Board, Morigaon and Nagaon, Station Head Quarter Misa, SBI & ICICI banks made the programme a huge success among the veterans, he said. A medical camp, banking stall and placement information cell and many other stalls were set up to facilitate disabled soldiers, veterans, Veer Naris and dependents.
The event also witnessed a display of the military pipe band.
