DOOMDOOMA, May 4 - The monthly literary discussion of Doomdooma Sakha Sahitya Sabha (DSSS) titled �Sahityar Antaranga Alap� for the month of April was held recently at Doomdooma Sakha Sahitya Sabha Bhawan.
DSSS president Arjun Baruah conducted the programme, the theme of which was spring festival Bihu. The members of DSSS recited self-composed poems, read out short stories, articles etc., besides a few cultural items. The women members presented Jeng Bihu. The programme was anchored by DSSS secretary Deben Deka.
As a part of the programme, writer and assistant teacher of Doomdooma Bangiya Vidyalaya, Debojit Mitra was felicitated by DSSS for securing first prize in the state-level novel writing contest organised by Assamese magazine Bindu.
