GUWAHATI, July 10 - The All India People�s Science Movement (AIPSN) and the Omeo Kumar Das (OKD) Institute of Social Change and Development will jointly observe World Population Day here tomorrow. The topic of this year�s World Population Day is � �Family Planning is a Human Right�.
World Population Day is being observed this year to focus on the need to generate public awareness on the issue of the alarming rise in the world population and for the purpose, the organisers of the function here are organising a seminar-cum-interactive session at 4.30 pm tomorrow at the Machkhowa ITA Centre for Performing Arts.
Population expert and renowned surgeon Prof Dr Illias Ali will speak as the appointed speaker at the function, which will be presided over by Director in-charge of the OKD Institute Dr Bhupen Sarma, said a press release here today.
