GUWAHATI, Oct 18 - The Netherlands-based Hunger Free Foundation organized an international webinar on Friday to mark the World Food Day.
Agriculture expert and senior Agriculture department officer Mowsam Hazarika participated in the event and spoke about the agricultural scenario of Assam.
Hazarika said that globally over two billion people do not have regular access to safe, nutritious and sufficient food.
He said that prompt action, especially during this period of the COVID-19 pandemic, is vital. Several experts from different countries participated in the webinar and exchanged views on the challenges to eradicate hunger in the world.
