Workshops on cancer prevention, control

GUWAHATI, March 18 - Cancer Research Foundation India, in association with the city-based Dr B Borooah Cancer Institute, will conduct a series of workshops on cancer prevention and control at different universities of the State and neighbouring areas.

The objective of these workshops is to raise awareness on cancer prevention research among the new generation of scholars pursuing research in various allied health disciplines, said a statement.

The first of these workshops will be held at the University of Science and Technology, Meghalaya on March 19. The speakers will be experts from Dr B Borooah Cancer Institute.

This workshop will be followed by another one at Assam Down Town University in April.
