Workshop on vigilance awareness for AAI officials

GUWAHATI, June 20 - A two-day workshop on vigilance awareness for Airports Authority of India (AAI) officials was organised here on June 19 and 20.

The workshop was inaugurated by DK Kamra, Regional Executive Director, NER, AAI in presence of SN Borkar, GM (Vigilance) and senior AAI officials. The subject of the workshop was �Preventive Vigilance � a tool for better Governance�.

Addressing the officials, Kamra highlighted ways one can avoid a vigilance query by maintaining transparency in day-to-day work. He also appealed to the participants not to fear or panic upon hearing the word �vigilance�, and rather take advantage from such training programmes.

Executives and non-executive from different disciplines of AAI posted at the regional headquarters and airports in the north-eastern region participated in the workshop.

Instructors and faculty from Central Headquarters, New Delhi delivered lectures on subjects like facets of vigilance, technology as enabler in public procurement, project planning and contract administration, effective contract administration, etc.

A group discussion on several case studies on vigilance was also organised in the concluding session. Guests were felicitated with traditional japi and mementos on the occasion. There were altogether 57 participants at the workshop.
