Workshop on tourism in NE held

GUWAHATI, Oct 11 - A workshop on �Exploring tourism potential in North East India� was organised recently by Gauhati Commerce College Centre of Management Studies (GCMS), stated a press release issued here today.

Bhaskar Phukan, Managing Director of Assam Tourism Development Corporation (ATDC) Ltd, who was the chief guest, spoke about government initiatives for the development of tourism in the North East, while Jahnabi Phookan, the guest of honour, spoke about the challenges for tourism in the region. Entrepreneur Shyamkanu Mahanta spoke on new potential areas for tourism in the North East.
