GUWAHATI, June 28 � Raagaloy Sangeet Mahavidyalaya, Guwahati is organising a workshop on different genres of songs from July 1 to 20 at its office located near Santi Path, opposite Ambika Petrol Pump, RG Baruah Road, a press release stated.
Noted music director Ramen Baruah will inaugurate the workshop and will also train the participants on old Assamese modern songs.
On the subsequent days, experts in different genres will train the participants. While Dr Anima Choudhury will give lessons on Rabha Sangeet and Jyoti Sangeet, Nityananda Deka will impart training on Bhupendra Sangeet and Naren Das along with Arabinda Pathak will provide training on Lokogeet and Bongeet respectively.
There is no age bar for the participants. Those interested to take part in the workshop may contact the organisers at Raagaloy, Pub Sarania, the release added.
