GUWAHATI, Aug 26 - A workshop on GST and its legal impact was organised by the Lakshmi Education Foundation Trust at Pragjyoti ITA Complex here today. Justice Ujjal Bhuyan, Judge, Gauhati High Court, inaugurated the programme. Speaking as the chief guest, he said more such programmes on GST should be held as it is a new subject.
Justice PK Saikia, judicial member of the National Company Tribunal and former Judge of the Gauhati High Court, in his speech as the guest of honour stressed that awareness of the legal implications of GST is important.
Sneha Kalita, advocate-on-record of the Supreme Court, who was the guest speaker, explained the legal provisions under the CGST Act, 2017 spoke on the legal implications.
