HAFLONG, March 22 - In an initiative to encourage and empower youths towards innovative teaching methodologies, the Rotary Club of Haflong Hills organised a three-day educational workshop with resource persons from the National School of Drama TIE wing Tripura from March 18 to 20 here.
The National School of Drama TIE wing Tripura is an autonomous institute under the Union Ministry of Culture. The initiative was supported by DIET, Dima Hasao and AROH.
The main objectives were to share TIE/DIE method, to inculcate productive Rotary work process and culture, to train in acting skills, to develop intercultural bonding and learning and to develop life skills.
Altogether, 30 participants took part in the workshop titled, �Acting for Creativity� which saw training on using theatre as a tool for imparting education.
The event had Soma Khersa, Principal of DIET, Dima Hasao and also active Rotarian, who successfully organised the workshop.
