AIZAWL, Oct 11 - The Mizoram State Commission for Women (MSCW) has condemned the murder of a woman, Lalhlimpuii, allegedly by her husband, PC Vanlalringa. A statement issued by MSCW said that Vanlalringa, an Indian Reserve Police personnel posted at Mamit, beat up his wife due to which she had to be admitted to the Zawlnuam hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries. During the post-mortem, three of her ribs were found to be broken. Injury marks were also found on her abdomen.
The MSCW has demanded stringent punishment for Vanlalringa and added that it would make all efforts to ensure justice for the victim.
