Women directors� drama festival on June 13-14

GUWAHATI, June 8 � Several women theatre directors from Punjab, Manipur, Delhi and Assam would enthral theatre lovers of the State with a bouquet of thought provoking plays at �Swayam� � a national women directors� theatre festival, organised by Jirsong Theatre at the Rabindra Bhawan here on June 13 and 14.

The festival would be inaugurated by the Union Sports and Youth Affairs Minister, Sarbananda Sonowal.

On both days, the festival would have two plays and one street play.

Padmapriya, based on Mamoni Raisom Goswami�s novel Devi Pithar Tez and directed by Pakiza Begum, would be the inaugural show of the event. The play would be staged on June 13 at 5 pm. Pakiza Begum has also designed and performed in the play.
