SHILLONG, June 16 - A woman lost her middle finger and had her ears cut when a man posing as a salesman entered her home and made good with her golden ring and ear rings in Smit near here, police said.
The woman was at home alone at Smit when the man entered her home and snatched her golden ear rings, finger rings and many other costly items on Wednesday evening, police said.
The woman fell unconscious after the robber cut her middle finger as the ring was very tight. Both of her ear lobes were also cut as he forcibly pulled her golden ear rings, he said.
The woman, who is yet to recover from her trauma, is admitted to North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences. � PTI
