TINSUKIA, July 12 - Deepa Bora (22 yrs) and her two children namely, Shanbi Bora (6 yrs) and Madhab Bora (1� yrs) were brought to the Tinsukia Civil Hospital from their residence at Kathalguri Tiniali under Bordubi PS in very critical conditions at about 1pm today. While Deepa and Madhab died at the hospital, the girl child Shanbi was declared out of danger by the doctors. Doctors said that they had consumed some poisonous materials which could be determined only after post-mortem.
On the other hand, Pranami Koch, an ANM and sister-in-law of Deepa stated that Deepa Bora is the wife of Trailokya Bora, who was a constable and died on March this year due to dengue. Trailokya was the elder of brother of Pranami�s husband.
She further stated that Deepa and her two children use to reside with her in the government quarters after the death of Trailokya. This morning they had taken their food and she went to attend her duty. After returning from her duty, she found all the three lying in the bed with froth in their mouths and later she brought them to the hospital. As per the police, the surviving child Shanbi stated that their mother administered some tablets to them and also consumed some herself. Police is investigating the matter.
