GUWAHATI, Dec 4 - A woman of West Gotanagar, Maligaon area has sought police help against �torture� by her husband.
The woman, Uma Kulsum Choudhury today filed a written complaint at the All Women Police Station explaining how her husband, Rubul Choudhury abused her physically and mentally.
�I tolerated all the suffering for the sake of my small daughter. Last night at 10:30 pm, my husband came in a drunken state and beat me,� she stated in the complaint.
Officer-in-charge of All Women Police Station Nikumoni Bhuyan said that a case was registered in this regard and further investigation is under way.
