GUWAHATI, Feb 3 � A young woman died in mysterious circumstances after falling from a high-rise apartment in the city this afternoon.

Police said the woman, who has not yet been identified and who is presumed to be in her mid-20s, fell from the seventh floor apartment of Amrit Enclave at Bamunimaidam. The incident happened around 3 pm. Locals informed the police, who rushed to the spot immediately.

A case has been registered and investigation is on to ascertain if it was a case of suicide or if the woman was pushed down by some other person. Locals told the police that the woman went up to the apartment on the seventh floor sometime before she fell down from the balcony. � Staff Reporter

One such programme will be held here on February 10 and the other at Agartala on February 12. Details can be had from Rubber Board Zonal Office in Guwahati, Agartala. This was stated in a press release issued by The Rubber Board, Kottayam (Kerala).
