DIBRUGARH, June 20 - A woman reportedly committed suicide after pouring kerosene over her body and her 18-month-old baby in Nirmali Gaon Ramnagar here allegedly after not being able to bear the torture by her in-laws.
The woman, Mangoli Paul succumbed to her injuries in Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) while the baby is still under treatment, police said.
Bapan Paul, the brother of the woman has lodged a complaint with the police against Nakul Paul, the husband and the in-laws of his sister.
Police has registered a case no. 784/17 u/s 306 of abetment of suicide.
