AIZAWL, May 14 � Mizoram Minister for Horticulture PC Lalthanliana today flagged off the first consignment of 16,000 litres of concentrated grape juice from Champhai town to be blended in Guwahati.
The Guwahati-based Radiant Manufacturing Pvt Ltd which would make a wine branded as Vihno Porto from the concentrated grape juice and Radiant inked an MoU with the Champhai Grape Growers Society (CGGS) for supply of concentrated grape juice.
The agreement was welcomed by the grape growers as the dry law in force in Mizoram was lifted by the State Government from January this year leaving the wineries in Champhai and neighbouring Hnahlan dry. � PTI
