West Siang prepares for lockdown extension

AALO, April 12 - A meeting chaired by West Siang Deputy Commissioner Swetika Sachan on Sunday discussed the modus operandi to be followed in the event of extension of the lockdown, stated an official press release.

The meeting was attended by ADC Liyi Bagra, police and administrative officers, senior citizens of Aalo town, bazar secretaries and NGO members.

It was decided that entry to the district will be allowed at Ruksin check gate, and all other routes will be sealed. People coming from outside will be checked at the checkgate, and doctors will carry out medical check-ups and escort them to quarantine facilities.

Civil societies were told to identify youths who will help out the flying squads in identification and proper implementation of self-quarantine measures by persons quarantined in their homes. Restriction on movement of private vehicles will continue, but will be relaxed from 4 am to 6 am, and 4 pm to 6 pm.�
