GUWAHATI, Dec 29 - The 48th Assam State Weightlifting Championship came to an end at the District Library auditorium in Haflong today.
The three-day championship was inaugurated by Dima Hasao DSA general secretary T Daulagupu on December 27. The championship was organised by Dima Hasao District Weightlifting Association where around 300 players and officials participated.
Competition was conducted in youth, junior and senior categories for both male and female.
Best lifters: (Youth boys) Suditya Baruah, Charaideo; (Youth girls) Panchami Sonowal, Dhemaji; (Junior men) Ritupan Narah, Dhemaji; (Junior women) Boranali Borah, Sivasagar; (Senior men) Nitu Tamuli; (Senior women) Boranali Borah, Sivasagar; (Best team, men) Charaideo; (Best team, women) Dhansiri.
