JALUKBARI, Oct 4 - Big budget has become one of the important characteristics of Durga Puja celebration in Guwahati. The 68th Durga Puja and Kali Puja to be celebrated this year by the Rest Camp Kalibari Sarbojanin Durgotsav Samiti, Pandu, are together worth Rs 24 lakh.
Talking to this correspondent, office-bearers of the Rest Camp Kalibari Sarbojanin Durgotsav Samiti said, �Preparations are almost over. We are trying our best to make the puja vivid and eventful.� They further said that the Durga Puja celebration will start on October 6 and come to an end on October 12.
Special security measures have been taken by the organisers. Apart from the security gear to be provided by the district administration, the organisers will deploy their own security personnel. They further added that 30 CCTVs will be installed so as to make security surveillance prompt and effective.
