GUWAHATI, Aug 5 - Synchronising with the birth anniversary of former President of India, Dr S Radhakrishnan, the Teacher�s Day is celebrated on September 5 every year across the country.
The Education department of the State has also chalked out elaborate plans to mark the occasion. As part of the plans to celebrate the day, a website launching ceremony was organised on Wednesday at the convention centre of the NEDFi House here, a press release stated.
The website www.lets-celebrate-teachersday-together.in was inaugurated by State Chief Secretary VK Pipersenia in the presence of Kanaksen Deka, Editor, Dainik Agradoot, Dhirendra Nath Chakravartty, Editor, Sankar Jyoti and Paban Kumar Barthakur, Principal Secretary, Education department.
RK Jain, Secretary, Education department along with a host of officials of the department and other guests attended the programme, the release added.
