GUWAHATI, Aug 3 - The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Sonapur College is holding a webinar on Unnat Bharat Abhiyan at 4.30 pm on 7 August in association with the National Coordinating Institute of UBA, IIT Delhi, according to a press release issued here.
The theme of the webinar, to be held in the �ZOOM Meeting� virtual platform, will be �Fostering UBA, a commitment of HEI�s beyond campus: Issues and challenges.�
The Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, launched in 2014, is a flagship programme of the Union Ministry for Human Resource Development (MHRD) which aims to link the higher education institutions (HEI�s) with a set of at least five villages, so that these institutions can contribute to the economic and social betterment of the village communities using their knowledge base.
The webinar will be inaugurated by Commissioner & Secretary of Higher Education, Government of Assam Preetom Saikia. Prof VK Vijay, National Coordinator, UBA, IIT Delhi will deliver the keynote address as the chief guest. Prof Vivek Kumar, Co-Coordinator, UBA, IIT Delhi will be the appointed speaker.
