GUWAHATI, July 16 - The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Narangi Anchalik Mahavidyalaya here organised the second webinar on the topic �Media during COVID-19: Saviour or Terror Monger� recently.
The webinar was inaugurated by principal (in-charge) Reeta Dutta Hazorika, stated a press release. She welcomed the guests and emphasised on the importance of media during this period of social isolation.
The distinguished speakers include senior journalist Mrinal Talukdar and the Head of the Department of Communications and Journalism of Gauhati University, Dr Ankuran Dutta. They gave a thought-provoking and insightful presentation on the subject.
Talukdar probed into the relationship between media exposure and anxiety while Dr Dutta highlighted the importance of motivational posts on social media. The webinar ended with Reeta Sharma, coordinator of the IQAC of the college, offering the vote of thanks.
The college had successfully organised another webinar on July 7 on the topic �Awareness Programme on use of online e-resources� in collaboration with Assam College Librarians� Association (ICT Cell).
