Webinar on COVID precaution awareness organised

GUWAHATI, Nov 22 - The efficacy of media and other forums in COVID precaution awareness is vital for growth and progress at workplaces, experts opined at a webinar organised by the Press Information Bureau, Guwahati on the topic �COVID precaution awareness at workplaces� here on Friday.

Experts from industry fraternity along with academicians discussed the COVID precaution awareness issue from the academic and policy perspectives.

IIMC, New Delhi Director General Professor Sanjay Dwivedi said COVID precaution awareness has become a vital component of the communication strategy of organisations. �COVID awareness and precautionary measures have to be institutionalised in communication endeavours and dovetailed with the institutions� goals and objectives,� he opined.

He said the well-being of employees is an important parameter in the metrics of growth and development not only from human resources perspective but also for the organisational development endeavours.

Prasar Bharati, Guwahati Head of Office Gajanan Survase said the works at offices are demanding and dynamically driven by demand and supply and such trying COVID scenarios add to the complexity of the situation.

S Chinnasami, senior official, Engineering department, Doordarshan Guwahati, said flexible work and working from home and other places where crowd could be avoided are some of the ways to ward off the issues related to the pandemic.

Abdur Rahman Mallick, Delhi High Court advocate, said the developments have helped the industry become more robust, nimble and supple in its functioning and better work management.

Along with students, eminent journalists and other senior government officials from Doordarshan Guwahati, Regional Outreach Bureau, Guwahati and All India Radio Guwahati were also present on the occasion.
