GUWAHATI, Sept 10 � The Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI), Kamrup Metro, today completed its 15-day-long Weaving of Extra Weft Design training programme.
This was an intensive training imparted to 24 women of the district who desire to be entrepreneurs in the field of weaving, said a press statement.
The training was conducted with technical support of Handloom Research and Design Centre under the Directorate of Handloom and Textile Department of the State government.
The institute is planning to impart training to at least 400 trainees on different trades within the current fiscal.
A total of 757 unemployed youths from Chandrapur, Dimoria and Rani blocks have already been given training since May 2013 and the process of their settlement is going on.
