SILCHAR, April 27 - The police recovered a weather balloon from Tarapur area on Tuesday evening.
The police said that the balloon carried a meteorological radiosonde (small weather station) gadget named I-Met of 2AA 403Mhz specification.
Meanwhile, there was great curiosity among the locals after the balloon was noticed by a local citizen. Biswajit Sinha, who saw the weather balloon, said, �Not knowing what it was, I informed the police to about the gadget.�
