We will support BJP to form Govt: Hagrama

GORESWAR, Feb 28 - Hagrama Mohilary, the Chief Executive Member of Bodoland Territorial Council, addressing an election campaign at the Gashbari High School playground under No-56 Kamalpur LAC here on Friday, announced that his party will back the BJP to form the Government in Assam.

He also said that in total 16 candidates would be nominated from the BPF party in 16 LAC constituencies of the entire BTAD area for the ensuing Assembly elections to constitute the BJP Government in Assam.

The BPF party has already allied with the BJP to fight together against the corrupt Congress Government in the State that has been ruled over by Tarun Gogoi for 15 consecutive years, he added.

In the meeting he said, �We support the BJP�s candidates in the ensuing Assembly election to form a new Government in Assam and to oust the corrupt Congress Government from the State. The people have not seen any infrastructural development in the State during the 15 years� reign of the Tarun Gogoi-led Congress Government.�

Mohilary also appealed to the people to support the BJP candidates in the Assembly elections.

He also revealed that Rs 1,000 crore would be approved for the BTC development in the Parliamentary Budget session to be held on February 29.

Biswajit Daimary, MP (Rajya Sabha), also addressed the gathering and spoke on the present scenario of Assam, alleging the State Government�s failure in development works regarding surface communication, agriculture, education, health etc.

Earlier, Maheswar Basumatary, executive member of the BTC, delivered his welcome address in the meeting.
