NAGAON, June 8 � Products made of water hyacinth by Panchajanya Janakalyan Kendra, Dhing attracted visitors at the International Handicraft Exhibition, 2010 in New Delhi recently. Water hyacinth is available in plenty in all places of Assam.
By processing, this may be converted into raw materials for different decorative as well as useful products. The kendra is getting administrative as well as financial support from the Government and other organisations.
Resignation
GUWAHATI, June 8� Kiran Kakati, executive member of AGP central committee resigned from the primary membership last week citing personal problem, a press release said.
Kakati, who is also the president of Assam State Cooperative Union, and the chairman of Institute of Cooperative Management, submitted his resignation to AGP president Chandramohan Patowary and AGP Kamrup district president Dr Kamala Kalita, the release added.
