GUWAHATI, Aug 30 � To commemorate the supreme sacrifice made by the brave soldiers of Assam in wars fought in pre and post-independent India, a war memorial will be built in Guwahati, by the Ex-servicemen Welfare Association of Assam on a plot of land made available by the Gauhati University authorities at Jalukbari.
This is the first war memorial to be built in Assam and the Association expects to complete it in two years. This was stated in a press release.
