JALUKBARI, Aug 29 - In a major breakthrough, the officials of Jalukbari Police Outpost today arrested one Mominur Rahman Borbhuyan (35), a notorious drugs kingpin, who had managed to evade arrest several times earlier.
According to police sources, based on specific inputs received by the Jalukbari Outpost, an operation was led by Aditya Prakash Deuri, in-charge of Jalukbari Outpost and managed to arrest the kingpin against whom there are different cases lodged in Manipur.
He was travelling from Silchar to Guwahati in a flight. While he was sneaking into the city in a car, the police arrested him from Satmile near Jalukbari. Sources added that the arrested person was in the most wanted list of Narcotic and Affairs of Border (NAB), Manipur. He was later handed over to the NAB.
