DOOMDOOMA , Dec 10 - Pancha-Swahid Memorial National Level Invitational Prize-Money Day & Night Volleyball Tournament organised by All Tinsukia District Students Union in collaboration with Doomdooma Regional Students Union & Doomdooma Sports Association got underway today at the Doomdooma Town Field . In the opening encounter NF Railway , Maligaon beat Manipur Police Sports Club in straight sets by 25-21 and 25-19 points. The other league matches of the tournament were going on at the time of filing this report. The final match of the tournament will be played tomorrow.
In absence of the Deputy Commissioner of Tinsukia district, the Revenue Circle Officer of Doomdooma Nayanjyoti Bhagawoti inaugurated the tournament. The family members of the Pancha-Swahid were felicitated during the inaugural ceremony. AASU vice-president Pulak Chetia inaugurated the Souvenir published on this occasion.
