Visit by Japanese professors

JALUKBARI, Nov 29 - Professor Yatagai, Director of Centre for Optical Research and Education and Prof Yukitoshi Otani, Department of Optical Engineering, Utsunomiya University, Japan will visit Gauhati University tomorrow.

During their visit, both the experts will meet with GU Vice Chancellor Dr Mridul Hazarika, Prof Madhurjya Prasad Bora, Head of the Department of Physics, GU, other teachers, researchers and students. The main objective of the visit is to develop research collaboration between Utsunomiya University, Japan and GU.

The upcoming visit of the Japanese professors is a fallout of a visit of a group of academicians to a few universities in Japan including Kyoto University and Utsunomiya University in October this year under the leadership of Prof Jogen Chandra Kalita, Professor of zoology and coordinator of the GU wing for international relations.
