By CORRESPONDENT

DHUBRI, Nov 21 - In a bid to uplift the standard of education in Dhubri district, a Virtual Field Support (VFS) system has been recently set up for the teachers, parents and cluster resource centre coordinators (CRCCs) in the district, which will help in the development of different teaching-related issues and improvement of teaching and communication skills of teachers and school going students.

Dhubri Deputy Commissioner Anant Gyani launched the VFS which will be operated by Piramal Foundation. It is informed that the VFS is a technology-based platform of Piramal Foundation, which aims at helping the teachers, guardians and CRCCs, community volunteers and all the stakeholders over the phone and through other virtual media by sharing education materials, resources, video learning materials, audios learning materials, etc. with them.

The VFS centre in the district will directly communicate with the stakeholders. The foundation also aims at recruiting women volunteers who will personally visit stakeholders, whenever they need help. This service will be available to over nine thousand teachers working in 2,018 schools and for students up to class VIII in the district.

Gyani spoke about the importance of education and how VFS can play a big role in transforming the primary education in Dhubri district.
