Violence can�t solve any problem: Ibobi

IMPHAL, Jan 20 - Manipur Chief Minister O Ibobi has said that violence cannot bring solution to any problem, and all communities should live together in peace and harmony.

Speaking during the inaugural function of the golden jubilee-cum-46th general conference of the Koren (Koireng) Youth Organisation (KYO) at Longa Koireng village under Lamshang in Imphal West, Ibobi rejected the belief that the ethnic groups in the state have been alienated from each other on the ground of religion and said there are no small or big community in Manipur.

Saying that violence cannot bring solution to any problem, he called upon the various groups living in the state to maintain peace and harmony and love each other.

Ibobi said his government will take up improvement work on Patsoi Lamkhai-Chiru Lamkhai road soon. He assured that the state government will consider revamping the health centres and roads in Longa Koireng village and its neighbouring areas.

Irrigation and Flood Control Minister Ngamthang Haokip, representatives of village authorities, top civil and police officials and leaders of several organisations and churches of Koireng villages attended the event.
