GUWAHATI, March 8 � Vintage beat Jyoti Sangha by 6 wickets in the inaugural match of the 18th Uma Charan Bania Memorial T20 Day-Night Cricket Tournament at Latasil playground here today. The championship is being sponsored by NEEDS. Batting first, Jyoti Sangha were all out for 96 in 18.1 overs. Nitin Pegu (15) and Hari Das (12) were the main contributors with the bat. For Vintage, Ankit Jain and Harsh Bagaria took 3 and 2 wickets respectively.
In reply, Vintage score the winning runs in 11.5 overs losing just 4 wickets. The team�s innings was led by Sudhir Sarogi (23) and Amit Jain (21). Purananda Das of Jyoti Sangha too 2 wickets. The man of the match award went to Ankit Jain of Vintage.
Earlier, the tournament was inaugurated by veteran sports personality Pulin Das.
