MANGAIDAI, Oct 1 � JCB Villai Brothers, Chattishgarh took home the Amba Medhi Trophy.
In the final played at the Mangaldai Stadium here today the Villai team tamed Nagaland Police by a solitary goal.
The thrilling summit clash of the 31st edition of the championship was enjoyed by a capacity crowd. The fast-paced encounter was evenly played as both the teams initiated several moves from the beginning.
Finally it was Villai striker Impo who beat the Nagaland custodian with a sharp header off a flag kick taken by Rames Mahato just before five minutes of the final hooter.
Azad Ali of the winning team was adjudged best player of the meet. Nagaland Police team received the Ratneswar Kataki Trophy.
