GUWAHATI, April 30 � In his first attempt at mass mentalism, Jadu Samrat Vikram is all set to predict the fate of political leaders that include many prominent names who recently contested the Lok Sabha election in the State.
Vikram, who has been undertaking various initiatives to preserve and promote the art of magic, will write his prediction on paper and put the same under lock and key on May 1 at the Guwahati Press Club here.
Significantly, Vikram has also predicted a major political development in the State which according to him is about to take place within the period from May 1 to 15.
This young man told The Assam Tribune that this prediction magic is one of the biggest challenges in his career spanning over two decades. The box where Vikram will put his prediction has five locks and the keys will be in the custody of senior executives from the satellite TV channels till May 17, the day when the box will be opened at the Guwahati Press Club and the prediction announced. The box will be in the custody of the Guwahati Press Club till then.
�This is my first and last attempt at mass mentalism. I decided to do this because this time there was a kind of euphoria about the election and people had a lot of expectations. Another factor that prompted me to try mass mentalism was the use of the word �magic� by the political leaders of Assam during their time of campaigning and so I decided to include some real magic into politics,� said Vikram pointing out that right from the BJP to Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and Himanta Biswa Sarma, everyone had used the word magic frequently to stress their viewpoint.
Vikram, apart from following the traditional method at mass mentalism, also innovated on it to suit local ethos and gain perfection. He is confident that his prediction will be correct.
Mentalism, which is a blend of clairvoyance, precognition, intuition, observation, telepathy, telekinesis, mind control and hypnosis, is not practiced by too many practitioners of magic here. It is truly an art as it is an application of skill and the trained subconscious mind to comprehend cleverly concealed facts.
�I have predicted the fate of the political parties and that of Sarbananda Sonowal, Guarav Gogoi, Bijoya Chakraborty and Ajmal,� informed Vikram.
Vikram is hopeful that this initiative will give the art of magic more scope to flourish. He also called upon the government to take up steps to promote this art which has a glorious history.
