GUWAHATI, March 30 - The 11th Veteran Inter District and Inter Institution Invitational T-20 Cricket Tournament, in memory of Madhurjya Prasad Barooah and Badan Ch Saikia got off at the Mangaldai College Playground, Mangaldai today.
Goalpara defeated Kamrup Lawyers by 70 runs in the opening match. The tournament was formally inaugurate by Rajib Phukan, former Ranji cricketer of Assam.
Naba Konwar president VCAA, Gurujit Das MLA Mangaldai, Shankar Datta Lahkar, Mukut Das, Nasir Gul Khan and Tanmay Jyoti Mahanta were also present as guests on the occasion.
