JALUKBARI, Feb 23 - District Transport Officer, Kamrup, Gautam Das has appealed to the motor vehicle owners of Kamrup district to pay their outstanding road taxes before March 15.
The DTO informed that the motor vehicle owners who have not paid their road taxes, renewed RCs, fitness certificates and driving licences, can pay their taxes at the specified counters. If tax payers find difficulties during the payment of tax, they can immediately inform the authorities concerned, Das added. He further informed that motor vehicle inspectors and enforcement inspectors would start checks from April 1 to detect tax defaulters.
