GUWAHATI, April 30 - The 16th anniversary of the Vedic Astrological Research Society Guwahati was held on Sunday on the society campus under the presidentship of Dr Hangsadhar Sarma.
Founder president Dr Kumud Sarma narrated the history of the institution and the services it
has rendered to society in general and youths and students in
particular.
Addressing the function as the chief guest, DN Chakravartty mentioned the rich historical background of astrology in the country and dwelt at length on how in the earliest days, Indian astrology reached the stage of magnificence.
He also spoke about the important predictions made by great astrologers which came true later.
