VCAA foundation day, award nite held

GUWAHATI, Sept 24 - The 19th Foundation Day and Award Nite of Veteran Cricket Association, Assam (VCAA) was held on Saturday.

Governor of Assam Banwarilal Purohit was the chief guest while former Test player and coach of the Assam Ranji team, Lalchand Rajput was the special guest.

The award winners: (U-19 girls winner) Rashmi Dey; (U-23 women�s winner) Nirupama Boro; (U-16 boys winner) Denish Das; (U-19 boys winner) Rahul Singh; (U-23 boys winner) Sunzow Brahma; (Ranji Trophy winner) Arup Das; (Cricketer of the Year) Riyan Parag; Three Special Awards: (VCAA Cricket Cach Award) Nabab Ali (Guwahati), (VCAA Life Time Achievement Award) Narendranath Sabha Pandit (Jorhat), (Nurul Amin Sports Organiser Award) Sahajananda Oja.
