Valedictory function of jewellery making course

JALUKBARI, Oct 11 - The valedictory function of two training programmes implemented by the Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE) on jewellery making and readymade garments for a duration of three months under the sponsorship of Assam Police Wives� Welfare Association (APWWA), was held recently.

Sangeeta Sahay, president of APWWA was the chief guest of the occasion.

IIE Director Manoj K Das in his welcome speech expressed happiness at the successful completion of the training programmes and hoped that the training would enable the participants to enhance and upgrade their skills and generate sustainable employment.

WR Singh, associate faculty member, IIE, highlighted the genesis and growth of the gems and jewellery development centre at IIE and spoke about the successful achievement of the training goals, which he said, would enable the participants to enhance and upgrade their skills and generate sustainable employment.

Dr Sriparna B Baruah, head, CIE, IIE, in her speech mentioned that through the training programmes the participants were exposed to the art of creating innovative and diversified products.

Smt Sahay encouraged the participants and motivated them to infuse more passion and enthusiasm into their work in order to achieve success in their chosen fields.

During the closing function some of the participants also shared their experiences. The function ended with distribution of certificates to the participants.
