Utility of IT-enabled services underlined

SHILLONG, Sept 7 - Attending the 20th foundation day of the North Eastern Space Application Centre (NESAC) through video conference, Chief Minister Conrad Sangma today said IT-enabled services have helped in governance.

Sangma attended the meeting from his office chamber in the secretariat and lauded the efforts of NESAC to promote and develop the region through its space technology and IT-enabled services.

He said that during the present COVID-19 pandemic, people around the world have �used IT-enabled services for meetings and conferences and for collection of data which has helped in governance.�

Sangma added that the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is to create a vibrant India with the use of technology and its allied application.

NESAC was established in 2000 as a joint initiative of the Department of Space and the North Eastern Council.
