GUWAHATI, April 5 � United Sikkim�s John D Meyongar scored twice to give his side a 2-0 win against NISA in a 2nd Division I-League match here today. In another match played at the Nehru Stadium today morning, Golden Threads and Simla Young�s played a 1-1 draw. Ondmeak Porotu of Threads scored in the 24th minute and PK Thing of Young�s scored in the 29th minute.
In SAI Field this evening, Southern Samity trounced Gauhati Town Club 3-1. GTC made early inroads when Ikokoha Christian hit the net in the 18 minute. Thereafter GTC found it difficult to keep the momentum going.
After the break, Francis Xavier of Southern Samity opened the scoring for his team in the 55th minute. Then Jamir Ali Mondal (60th min) and Tuishim Mashangva (86th min) sealed the match in favour of Samity.
