JORABAT, Sept 9 - University of Science & Technology Meghalaya held its 3rd Convocation at Techno City Campus here today. A total of 905 students including 744 at PG level, 161 at UG level and two Ph.D scholars received degrees at the convocation.
The Convocation began with a welcome address by Mahbubul Hoque, Chancellor, USTM. Honorary Doctorate of Science (D.Sc) and Honorary Doctorate of Literature (D. Litt) were conferred on Prof Darlando Khathing, Vice Chancellor, North East Christian University and Dr Abdul Gafoor, who heads the Bright India Foundation, a philanthropic arm, working on the educational and healthcare systems of the underprivileged in the Northern Region of India.
