5 minor adverse reactions to COVID-19 recorded in the State

5 cases of minor adverse events following immunisation (AEFI) were reported among beneficiaries who received the first COVID-19 vaccine in Assam yesterday. Two PG students from Assam Medical College and Hospital reported fever today morning, while 3 persons from Tinsukia, Golaghat and Bongaigon report giddiness and mild itching post vaccination. The Union health Ministry has reported that there has been 447 such AEFI cases across India and only 3 required hospitalisation.
